Playground Renewal Project - Peace Park and Leschen Park

Project Overview

Each year, the Shire undertakes 2–3 small playground renewal projects in local neighbourhood parks. These projects focus on replacing ageing play equipment with safe, modern, and appealing alternatives. For the current financial year, renewals are planned for Peace Park (Greenmount) &Leschen Park (Darlington).

The scope of these works is limited to replacing the existing equipment within the current playground footprint.

As part of this renewal program, the Shire is inviting community input to help shape the final design outcomes. Local residents will be invited to review three design options for each playground and vote for their preferred option through a short online survey. This community-focused approach has proven effective in ensuring that new playground equipment reflects local preferences.

The Shire looks forward to working with the community to deliver refreshed, enjoyable play spaces for local families.

PEACE PARK AND LESCHEN PARK - PLAYGROUND RENEWALS PROJECT

Peace Park is located in Greenmount and Leschen Park is located in Darlington and are valued family parks within the shire. The current play equipment in both of these parks are nearing the end of their journey, and we're getting ready to plan a renewed space that's fun, inclusive and designed for the families who use it every day.

We're looking ahead to the future of play at both parks. The renewed space will build on what's already great about the parks, while introducing new, exciting play opportunities.

    COMMUNITY INPUT
